Apple Cider Vinegar Cure - Relieved My Allergies & Lowered My Cholesterol

As a chronic allergy sufferer for over fifteen years, having relied on expensive prescription medicine to control my symptoms, I was searching for something more natural to help alleviate all the itching, sneezing and stuffiness I was experiencing. I had read about the miracles of apple cider vinegar (ACV) and it's ability to help with seasonal and perrenial allergies and honestly, I was a bit skeptical, but willing to give it a try.
Apple cider vinegar has been highly regarded throughout history, dating back to 400 BC when Hippocrates used it for its amazing health qualities. ACV is rich in enzymes, supports a healthy immune system, helps control weight, promotes digestion, helps soothe sore throats and aids in removing toxins from the body.
I had learned from the research I had done that it is imperative to use the type of ACV that has a brown sediment at the bottom of the bottle, which is called "the mother". Only raw, organic, apple cider vinegar has "the mother of vinegar" that makes it so beneficial. The "mother" is made up of living nutrients and bacteria, so it is actually alive, compared to clear vinegar, which has gone through processing and distilling and is actually dead.
So, for the past year I have used the recommended daily dose of ACV, which is two tablespoons, mixed with 1/2 packet of steviaa and eight ounces of water. Since it is too strong to drink on its own, ACV should be mixed with a bit of juice and water or the water and stevia combo that I use. It took about a week of continuous use for my body to feel the effects, but I am proud to say that I am now naturally free from allergies, thanks to apple cider vinegar! I also noticed an added benefit to my new regime - my cholesterol dropped twenty five points without changing anything else in my diet or routine. If you would like to try ACV for whatever's ailing you, I would highly recommend the Bragg's brand, as it is made from organically grown apples, processed in accordance with USDA guidelines and is certified organic.
Would love to hear if you have experienced similar positive results - please let me know if you end up trying out apple cider vinegar and what conditions it has helped.

ACV cured an itchy, flaking scalp in our family in just a few days! Dab it on straight with a cotton ball.

Wow - that is great! Thanks so much for posting that info Jenifer.

Apple cider vinegar has cured decades long allergies, given me a smooth complexion and helped me lose 20lbs in a relatively short time. I couldn't be happier and wish I had known about it sooner!

Sushigal - thanks so much for commenting on your great success with Apple Cider Vinegar - it has so many benefits and I agree with you - wishing I had discovered it sooner, too!

i tried acv for only a week but did 2 teaspoons not tablespoons and after a week, felt nothing. You think I should try longer with 2 tablespoons? I'm desperate for allergy relief and am tired of drugs.
Thanks you!

Sarah- I would give 2 tablespoons a try - just make sure you dilute with some water. Your allergies may also be due to certain foods or environmental issues which you may want to look into if the ACV doesn't do the trick. Good luck and message me if you need further help.

thanks! what about capsules or tablets?

Sarah, Have never tried capsules, but imagine they are fairly pricey compared with the liquid ACV. You could always check with your local health food store. Talk to the manager or owner of the store - generally they are pretty knowledgeable about the supplements that they carry.

For allergy cures do you drink it everyday?

Everybody responds differently but what worked for me is to drink it daily. I did that for awhile until I noticed my allergies diminishing to the point of not bothering me at all. Now I only use it sporadically as I believe it helped to build up my system. I use it a few times a week in a salad dressing or incorporating it into recipes so I am injesting it but not necessarily having to toss it back with juice or water to dilute. Good luck!

My 5 year old daughter had these ugly warty growths called "molloscum contagiosum" (a virus) all over her belly. The pediatrician treated them with "beetle juice" (no joke--it's one of the typically prescribed remedies) and they came back with a vengeance!!! We were desperate as they started creeping up her neck toward her pretty little face. I saw that ACV was recommended for this condition by countless folks on various blogs, and gave it a try. Worked like an absolute charm!!! Unbelievable results. Dab a tiny piece of cotton in ACV, and tape it to the wart with medicinal tape overnight. Peel off the next day and the bugger is all deflated, sometimes even blackened (like scabby), and DEAD! Some I treated two nights in a row if it looked like they didn't respond as well as others. It does sting a little (especially if being retreated) but my girl got through it. It's been 8 months since we did this and NO RECURRENCE whatsoever. LOVE this product!

Liz - OMG - that is amazing! So glad ACV worked for your little girl. Thanks so much for taking the time to post and to share with others your results.

You are most welcome! Still no recurrence. We are thrilled!
The reason for my return to your blog is that we have just started our daily regimen of ACV plus juice in effort to treat my 8 year old son's allergies (environmental and food). He did NAET which worked wonders for the food allergies, but he continues to suffer tremendously from a host of airborne allergies despite over a year of NAET treatments (I haven't gone any medicinal route with him, aside from occasional Benadryl when he's really feeling lousy, bc the allergies were diagnosed at 4, and I just couldn't fathom loading up my tiny little boy with 4 daily meds as the doc recommended). Wish us luck! I'm giving him (and my daughter, who has allergies as well but less significant) a tablespoon with juice and honey. Would love your feedback if you have an opinion on this dosage with children.

Liz - Although I really can't make recommendations I would use your best judgement and maybe start with half the amount and see how the child responds. You could also do smaller amounts twice a day or something along those lines. Good luck and keep us posted!!!

I have noticed that my allergies don't bother me since I have been taking AVC. I thought I would "googled" it to see if anyone else had the same results.

I have been taking it for about 3 weeks now and my skin is smoother and getting clearer. I use ACV as a spot treatment too and my blemishes just disappear! I hope this helps someone.

ACV will burn off moles. You have to protect the surrounding skin with a bit of vaseline, or it will burn that, too. I would soak a small piece of cotton ball in the ACV, place it over the mole, and cover it with a bandaid. It WORKS. It may take awhile...possibly a few weeks--depending on the stubbornness of the mole.

@ Stacy Jennings: moles? have you tried skin tags? are you talking raised moles or flat moles?

I am quite interested after finding this link on FB and then reading through it.

Having seen numerous posts about seasonal allergies, has anyone tried it as a help with asthma symptoms? Just curious.
Also, if Liz is still connected with this post, I'm interested in whether she found a half dosage worked to help with her son's allergies.

Thanks!

Just thought I would chime in. I also did Naet treatments for 2 years, and it did .wonders for my food allergies, but I still suffer from outside allergies, and some stubborn food ones. I'm thinking about trying avc, but am worried about it triggering a reaction. Any thoughts?

I live in Knoxville, TN which is #1 on the list of the Worst Cities for Allergies. I moved here about 7 years ago and had had very few problems initially, although I suffered quite a bit in my previous state. This past spring, I started having a lot of allergy symptoms: runny nose, watery eyes, sinus pressure etc. I turned to Claritin like I had in the past, but it didn't seem to work, and I wanted something that was more natural. One day when my symptoms were really bad, I had a huge craving for pickles, and about 10 minutes after eating a few, I began to feel a whole lot better. I researched vinegar as an allergy treatment, then decided to try 2 tablespoons of Bragg's ACV in water (with honey and a little juice mixed to mask the strong taste of the ACV.) I was surprised, but it worked great! It works better than any other allergy treatment I've tried. Except for a sneeze once or twice during the day, my other symptoms are nonexistent. I drink it daily now. I fill up my water bottle, then add the ACV, honey and juice and sip it throughout the day. Since I work around the public, it is so nice to have control over my allergy symptoms. I would highly recommend this to anyone. In addition, like other ppl have noted, I have seen my skin improve as well. My face doesn't break out hardly at all which is a definite plus. I'm curious if anyone has seen any research that demonstrates how exactly the ACV acts in the body to provide allergy relief.

I have had allergies for as long as I can remember, I've tried everything: shots, homeopathic, anti-histamines, nasal sprays...only to get temporary relief or nothing at all. I have just started ACV, been 3 days, so hoping to see some results soon! I take a tablespoon of it straight and then chase it with water, twice a day.
I was just wondering is there any specific times that it should be taken, like before or after eating?
